Selida 2 has a great help system! For help on a Tag, simply select it and press F1.
Familiarize yourself with the Toolbox on the right of your screen, It has many powerful functions. If the toolbox is hidden, simply click on "View -> Toolbox" or press the F2 key on your keyboard.
If you need more help, use our online forum. Check out the Forum browser on the Help menu.
We recommend that you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later installed on your computer to use the Design Mode.
Use the Help File to learn Selida 2 quickly!
Get started quickly by using the "New Page Wizard" from the Tool Box.
Click the "Down Arrowhead" in the Toolbox for access to a range of powerful tools including a complete Tag List.
Are you more familiar with another HTML editor? Selida makes the change easier. Goto Tools > Options > Colors, and click on the colorscheme dropdown list. From this list is it possible to select another colorscheme, so that the syntax highlighter highlights the code in familiar colors.
An immediate, basic HTML page is available from the Control Panel by selecting "HTML Document"
Use the "Format HTML" function under "Edit" to format any selected area in your document. A very handy tool for making your code more readable and compact.
Extensive options can be selected from "View -> Options" including Autocomplete and Autosave Functions.
Jump to almost anywhere in your document using "Edit -> Goto ..."
It is smart to compress your code before you publish your page on the web. Use the built-in compress tool to do this (Tools -> Compress Source)
The new "WYSIWYG" editor is excellent for beginners who want to learn HTML.
You can turn off and on page details when you are in Design mode. Click on the detail button in the toolbar.
You can type in a word in the address edit box in the "Insert Hyperlink" dialog, and press Ctrl + Enter to automatically add "http://www." and ".com" on either side of the word.
Select which Syntax Language you wish to use from "View -> Options"
Selida 2 has a powerful Macro feature. After you have written the content of the Macro under "Tools -> Macro -> Edit Macros", you can subsequently call it up by simply pressing F11 when a complete list of all of your Macros will pop-up. This list works just like an Autocomplete List.
Selida 2 offers you 4 ways to view your work (Bottom L. H. Screen). Split View Mode (Watch it update automatically!), HTML Source Mode (For quick and efficient hand coding.), Full Preview Mode (See it as the Web will see it!), Design Mode (A WYSIWYG way of learning how to code!).
If you use the design view, you can paste HTML code directly by selecting Edit -> Paste HTML
You can preview the selected font fast when you are in the "Font Dialog". Press the Shift key and hold it down
Selida 2 can be freely used by all (Education, Business, Private, etc.)
You can quickly shift between viewing modes using F6 - F7 - F8 - F9
Basic templates are available from the Toolbox under "Templates"
You can turn off and on table borders when you are in design mode. Click on the border-button in the toolbar.

Automatically insert Sounds, Hyperlinks, Images, Dates, Tables and many other options from the "Insert" menu.
You can convert RTF documents to HTML documents by using the tool "Convert RTF to HTML". You can also save your document as an RTF file.

You can now easily insert ActiveX controls into your HTML documents using "Insert -> ActiveX"
Use the Check Links tool, "Tools -> Check Links", to ensure that your site does not contain broken links.
You can add your own templates, if you first make the page, and then click on 'Save as Template' in the File menu. You can delete it if you first select it, and then right click on it.
